ABOUT US
Rainbow Golf Club was founded in 1989 by Liz Ishihara, along with a few of her fellow Hughes Aircraft employees. Since most of the original members were Hawaiians, they decided to call themselves the Rainbow Golf Club since Hawaii is known as the Rainbow State.
The desire of the club is to be a welcoming and socially inviting organization for friends and family. The club has grown over the decades as members have invited their friends to join. This tradition of acquiring new members by referral only continues today. Membership includes working and retired folks who all share a common enjoyment of golf and camaraderie.
Tournaments are scheduled on Sundays, at various So. Cal courses, with several weekend and weekday outings. In addition, an annual weeklong trip is planned for all to golf at the finest courses that the U.S./Canada have to offer. Over the years, the club has held over 550 tournaments, on 330 courses, for a total of 16,000 rounds.

Sadly, after 30 years of running the club, our founding member and leader, Liz Ishihara passed away in 2021. We thank her for her decades of service and hope she found the pot of gold at the end of the Rainbow.
